Description
In this painting of Jewish people praying at the Western Wall, I was drawn to the stillness of the moment and the quiet power that lives in this sacred space. I chose to wash the entire piece in shades of blue. It is calming, contemplative, almost meditative. The blue softens the stone and blends the figures into one shared presence, united in prayer, in hope, in memory. It’s less about the individual and more about the collective heartbeat that pulses through the Kotel every day. This painting is my way of capturing the quiet holiness I feel every time I stand there, the sense that something eternal is gently holding us all.
