Description
There is a quiet hum at the Kotel that you feel before you hear it — a vibration of collective devotion that has been building for centuries. In “Where Souls Meet: A Gathering at the Kotel”, I painted that invisible thread that connects every soul who stands before the ancient stones. The figures gather closely, united in purpose yet each carrying their own private prayer. Light filters through, soft and warm, blurring the boundaries between past and present, between stone and soul.
Created in acrylic on canvas, this piece measures 90×140 cm | 35×55 in, giving it a commanding yet intimate presence on any wall. The pale, airy palette keeps the composition feeling weightless and open, as though the scene exists in a space beyond ordinary time. Soft hues of cream, gold, and gentle grey create an atmosphere of serenity and grace.
What I find endlessly inspiring about the Kotel is its power to bring people together. At the Wall, differences dissolve. What remains is something universal — the human need to reach beyond ourselves, to connect with something sacred and eternal. This painting is my expression of that beautiful, shared moment.
Created in my Jerusalem studio, this original work by Chaya Koritz captures the spiritual heart of Jewish art. It is a piece that brings warmth, depth, and a sense of sacred community to any space.
