There are moments when Jerusalem feels as if it exists between two worlds — the earthly and the divine. In “Jerusalem Beneath the Light of the Menorah”, I wanted to paint that exact feeling. A great menorah rises above the ancient skyline, its glow soft and warm, casting a heavenly light over the rooftops and domes below. The palette is deliberately gentle — muted golds, pale blues, and soft lavenders — because the scene I imagined was not dramatic, but deeply peaceful.
Created in acrylic on canvas, this piece measures 70×90 cm | 28″ x 35 in, giving it a commanding yet intimate presence on any wall. Every brushstroke was placed to evoke that dreamlike quality where the boundaries between the spiritual and the physical dissolve. The menorah is not just a symbol here; it is a living presence, a reminder of the eternal light that has guided the Jewish people through the ages.
As a Judaica artist living in Jerusalem, I am endlessly inspired by the way sacred imagery weaves into daily life here. This painting is my way of sharing that vision — the sense that something holy is always hovering just above us, illuminating the path forward.
